Shield, Mask, and Sword. Why We Teach to Attack.

In the process of studying the course, we will teach you not only to defend but also to attack: to hack and de-anonymize. And this is probably the most controversial aspect of our work, the most challenging from an ethical and legal standpoint. But we have made our choice: we will teach you this, and it is part of defense, perhaps even its main part.

We firmly believe that if you do not get acquainted with the sword, the shield is useless. It is better for you to try to hack yourself, understand how it works, and then set up security. Better for you to de-anonymize yourself than for others to do it. After all, many still live with the thought: "So what about the IP address? I'm not hiding." Such individuals especially need to take their IP address, conduct an attack on their devices based on it, gain access to their webcam or personal data, read their social media conversations, and monitor their browser activity.

We live in an era where our activities, contacts, communication, and interests all go online. Being secure there today is just as important as being secure in real life. The knowledge, skills, and experience you will gain will become an indispensable foundation for your "online" security, while skills in anonymous work will help you don a virtual mask. After all, in the network, as in life, it is almost impossible to strike someone you cannot see, whose presence you do not know. You cannot assess the strength of an opponent without seeing them, you cannot understand their goal or anticipate their maneuver. The mask is your right, no matter who says otherwise. fsdfsdfs

You must not only be able to set up security but also test it. Test it not with a formal checklist of "done / not done," but with real attacks, for example: scan your system and Wi-Fi router for vulnerabilities using real tools employed by attackers, try an ARP-spoofing attack against yourself.

But there is another important application of the sword. As is known, the best defense is an attack. Many attackers feel their invulnerability and impunity online, as most users do not know how to defend themselves on the Internet. But you must unmask the criminal by de-anonymizing them, and then arrange a meeting with law enforcement. This is the kind of security we envision. You can build strong walls in the form of a secure system, a configured firewall, Double VPN with leak protection (we will teach you this too), but what is the point of such a shield if there is no sword behind it?
