Deep Web, or the Deep Internet, is what attracts users and law enforcement agencies from various countries to Tor – a space without rules and censorship. A space that is inaccessible from the outside, and the only way to enter it is by using the Tor browser (or its analogs).

As you might have already guessed, a significant portion of the resources here includes weapons, drugs, hitman services, hackers, a shadow market for documents, counterfeit money, money laundering and legalization of finances, stolen credit cards, malicious software, banned literature, pornography, and other similar content.

In this course, we do not advocate visiting Deep Web resources, but it would also be incorrect not to introduce Tor without discussing Deep Web. Therefore, act at your own risk and discretion. I just want to warn you about the large number of scammers who prey on the money of naive users.

If you had entered Tor a few years ago, you might have stumbled upon the PlayPen site. This is a site with pornographic materials where the actors were not only underage but even under 14 years old. PlayPen was a well-known project in the pedophile community, where many casual users would visit "just to take a look" (to condemn even more actively). The site operated on the Tor network for a long time, and it seemed that law enforcement would never be able to unmask its visitors. They did...
