Data and Content Reset on iPad and iPhone
I have already mentioned that the most reliable way to destroy malware and spyware from a device is to erase all settings and content. Now I will move on to the chapters with instructions, and the first one will be dedicated to devices running iOS - iPhone and iPad.
Resetting the settings of iOS devices is not the most difficult task, and, as a rule, the most challenging part in this case is convincing the owner of Apple equipment that their device may be infected with spyware. And while the likelihood of this is not very high, and it is lower than in the case of an Android device, it is far from zero.
Let me give you a few recent examples from which you can understand how real the probability is that your iPhone or iPad is already being monitored by a third party or has been altered without your initiation.
Perhaps you have the WhatsApp messenger installed on your device. It is a convenient way of communication that connects people, and many, even knowing about its insecurity, install WhatsApp to communicate with relatives and friends, probably thinking that there is nothing important there (and for important conversations, there is Telegram).
But it is unlikely that the same user would agree to install a spyware program. However, such a possibility existed, and all that was needed was to have the WhatsApp app on their iPhone. The attacker only needed to make a call that did not require an answer for the spyware to be installed on the victim's device.
